A Wavelet-Based Time-Frequency Analysis on the Supersonic Jet Noise Features with Chevrons

A detailed investigation of the statistical properties near-field pressure fluctuations induced by an under-expanded jet, varying nozzle exit shapes has been presented. Experiments using different convergent Chevron nozzles were carried out in anechoic chamber at University Bristol to assess importance shape on near field emitted a single stream jet. Measurements through axial microphone array traversed radially various positions for jet condition Mach number M = 1.3.
